Dentures

A denture is a removable appliance comprised of an array of artificial teeth which are reproduced from the same natural teeth the denture will replace. A complete denture is created to replace an entire array of teeth from one or both jaws. Thus, you may need either an upper denture, a lower denture or both, depending on the extent of required tooth replacement. A partial denture is created when only a few teeth are missing from an upper or lower jaw. The type of denture each patient may need is thoroughly discussed with the dentist at the consultation appointment.
